This is a Cougar Cat 980 Patrol multi Hull Cruiser, a 10-meter (33-foot) catamaran originally built as a Department of Fisheries patrol vessel. Equipped with twin 250hp Suzuki outboard motors, this vessel is perfect for smooth and open water charters.
We outfitted the Cougar Cat for Sale with a modern SIMRAD electronic navigation system. This vessel holds an NSCV survey 2C, allowing use by up to 8 people (2 crew and 6 passengers) for restricted offshore operations. You can operate it within 30 nautical miles from the baseline of the Australian mainland, Tasmania, or a recognized island, and within 50 nautical miles from the baseline of Queensland, including the Great Barrier Reef Region and the Torres Strait Zone, while remaining within the EEZ. We ensure safety and reliability with an experienced Master and Engineer at the helm. The vessel features a Zodiac Open Sea 8-man liferaft, a complete suite of communications equipment (including a satellite phone), and a Honda 2kVA silent generator. The Cougar Cat also includes 4 berths, a small galley, fridge, freezer, and toilet, making it capable of supporting extended trips. However, passenger numbers and comfort levels should be considered for longer voyages.
This vessel is transportable via a truck/trailer combination, allowing for easy and cost-effective relocation to any port.
